10 Trudeau Truths with Lori-Ann Ethier
1. What inspired you to pursue a career in human services?
I had a relative who resided in an institution. I was only about 10 years old, and we used to visit her, and I was horrified by what I saw. I knew then that I wanted to be an advocate for the people who needed compassion and respect they deserve.
2. What do you find most rewarding about your job?
If I can help one person to achieve their goal in getting a job of their choice with training and job development from me then I am considered a lucky person to have the opportunity to do this work.
3. Can you describe a memorable moment or success story from your time working at Trudeau?
I think all the clients I work with are memorable. I have helped and worked with several clients to obtain a job and are still there today going strong.
4. What’s something about people with differing abilities (or working with them) that you wish other people knew or better understood?
I wish people had a better understanding of the dedication, compassion and the ability to work that our clients have. This is why we need to educate the people in the community when possible.

I like gardening. Spending time with my family.

9. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
I would like to travel to Isreal to see the places that are depicted in the bible. Where and how they lived and the ministries they had.
